Our pay weight system comprises of an initial bill of €127 which covers you for a 6 month period. (This includes a weight allowance of 400kg). For this you will receive 2 recycling, 2 compost and 2 general waste collections per month. You will also get a FREE glass collection every quarter.

- General Waste – €13.50 per empty
- Recycling Bin – €6.50 per empty
- Glass Bin – €6.50 per empty
- Compost Bin – €5.50 per empty
Our Pay As You Use service requires of an initial payment of €60. This payment consists of a €30 registration fee and an initial €30 credit top up. Your account will be deducted each time your bin is emptied. A Service Charge of €7 per month applies to this service (introductory reduced service fee of €4.50 for the first 6 months). This service charge is automatically debited from your account at the beginning of each month.

Wilton Recycling provides household wheelie bin collections across Co. Cavan and selected surrounding areas; contact the team or use your Eircode checker to confirm if your home is currently covered.
What types of bins are included in the household service?
Domestic customers can receive 4 separate bins for general waste, recycling, organic waste and glass, making it easier to sort everyday rubbish correctly and improve recycling from your home.
How is my household bin service charged and how can I pay?
You can choose pay‑by‑weight or pay‑as‑you‑use charging, with payment options including monthly direct debit, card over the phone, online payments through the customer portal and Payzone outlets.
What can I put in my recycling and food bins?
Your recycling bin takes clean, dry rigid plastics, cardboard, paper, cartons, tins and cans, while your food/compost bin is for typical kitchen and food waste only, not plastics, metals or glass.
When are my bins collected and how will I remember?
General Waste, Organic Waste and Recycling Bins are collected on a every two weeks schedule. We send a text reminder the evening before collection so you know which bin to present at the kerb. Your Glass bin is collected every once a quarter.
How do I sign up to my household bin account?
You can sign up within the online wheelie bin form or contacting Wilton Recycling directly on 049 433 6476; the team will confirm service availability and service options.
Am I tied to a contract if I sign up for pay by weight?
No, our customers are not tied down to any sort of contract. If they wish to cancel our services and they have prepaid for them, we will refund the amount due back.
What size are our bins?
General Waste and Recycling bins are 240 litres, Glass bin is 140 litres and our food waste bin is 25 litres.
When should I put my bins out?
Bins must be out the evening before the collection (you will receive a text message reminder). To ensure collections make sure to put your bins out the night before collection. Some collection routes start from 4am. Check out the Calendars for your route.
Can I put extra bags out with my bins?
No, each bin is assigned to a specific customer and must be weighed under pay‑by‑weight regulations. If we collected loose bags, that weight could not be allocated correctly to an account.
What should I do if my bins are not collected?
Call our Wheelie Bin office on 049 433 6476. We have friendly staff who will help rearrange your collection ASAP.
